Nelspruit

Nelspruit bursts with vegetation:
it's a lush backdrop for the trading center of a fruit growing
area. Tropical weather and fertile soils provide perfect
conditions for citrus
and tropical fruits, mainly mango, banana, avocado, macadamia
and pecan nuts.
Just
outside Nelspruit, botanical gardens
boast a rare collection of plant species and the first man-made
rain forests.
A dinosaur park and cultural centre in the nearby Sudwala caves
reveal a primitive Africa. History is preserved in the gold
mining town of Kaapsehoop, a short distance from Nelspruit. A
mystical herd of wild horses often graze in the there.
Many nature and hiking trails are near Nelspruit, including a
one-hour historical trail showcasing the architectural and
cultural history of the town.
Halls estate, one of the largest
subtropical fruit production farms in the area, is a worthwhile
stop as it shows the variety and beauty of this area. Nelspruit
also has popular crocodile and ostrich farm.
